We are adding a dorm to our roof and will be removing a portion of our permalock aluminum shingles to make room for the dorm area. I believe its okay to reuse them for the dorm area since they are only 10-12 years old. Do you see any problem with that? They are supposedly good for 50 years and dismantling them shouldn’t compromise their integrity correct?
Curious, as I spoke to a contractor on the phone about the work and although he hasnt seen the shingles he suggests otherwise.
