Leo- I’m looking into replacing the cedar shake roof on our historic stone house with EDCO steel shingles because of the multi-tone colors available, or possibly the McElroy Metal Milan shingles. I’ve been looking at your "7 Best Metal Singles: Costs, Features, Reviews" at https://www.roofcalc.org/best-metal-roof-shingles/. First question: in your review you caution against stone coated steel shingles, but you recommend EDCO’s Infinity Line which has a stone coating: https://www.edcoproducts.com/products/steel-roofing/roofing-infiniti-textured-shake.html Do you recommend against EDCO’s infinity line? Second question, in your March 12, 2019 at 11:22 am comment you caution against using EDCO’s valley pan and instead recommend fabricating a one piece "V" valley pan with built in locks and attach a picture. But, in your March 6, 2019 at 5:27 pm review, you recommend a "W" valley pan with at least 12" overlap and use the same picture. I’m confused. What do you recommend by way of valley pan for an EDCO steel shingle installation. And final question: what is your opinion of the McElroy Metal Milan valley pan? Thanks so much for your time.
